APS, a nationally recognized land surveying and mapping firm based in Bellevue, has been acquired by two land surveying executives. Val Ward and Ander Larson have purchased the 20-year-old firm and will merge it with their surveying firm, Direct Surveying of North Bend. The new entity will keep the APS name and merge Direct Surveying employees and assets into APS. The transaction was completed earlier this month.

Sweet has been recognized by numerous land surveying professional organizations,trade publications and clients for his contributions and participation in land surveying and mapping. His professional career began in 1971 in Alaska and continued in Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and the Pacific Coast, among other locations.

The new APS team roster will include: Ward, Larson, Sweet, Sam Ward, Piper Sweet, Matt Galdo, Shawn McCullough, John Culliton, Troy Mills, and Dana Aamodt.
APS will continue to serve clients from a variety of sectors like; Federal,State and local government,maritime, land development,construction,home owners,agriculture, forestry and others.
Services include boundary and short plat surveys,topographic and utility surveys, 3D high definition scanning, hydrographic surveys, land title surveys,legal descriptions and research, forensic surveys, and GPS survey nets.
